A charge Q is enclosed by a Gaussian spherical surface of radius R. If the radius is doubled, then the outward electric flux will ?

(a) increase four times

(b) be reduced to half

(c) remain the same

(d) be doubled

Answer :  (c) remain the same

\( \Phi_E = \dfrac{q_{\text{encl}}}{\varepsilon_0} \)

\( q_{\text{enclosed}} \) is same.

So \( \Phi_E \) is same.

\( A \uparrow \Rightarrow E \downarrow \)

But \( \Phi_E \) is same.
