The video is slightly tricky. It took me a while to arrive at the ray diagram explanation. It is the uncovered portion of the mirror which is doing the reflection not the covered portion. However the image is formed as shown which is located behind the covered portion, which gives the wrong impression as though the covered portion is doing the reflection.
