Frequently asked questions for Physics Class
1) Sir, we heard you have stopped taking class. Are you by any chance taking classes?
Due to some throat pain issues, I took a break from classes from March 2024 to Sep 2024. Even now beyond 45 min, I am not able to speak comfortably, especially physics being a subject where one has to speak and explain a lot. So I am teaching few students coming to my home.
2) Where are you located?
I am located in Saravana Nagar, Idayarpalayam-Kavundampalayam.

3) Which grades or standards do you teach?
I am teaching 11th and 12th Physics, CBSE, JEE, NEET.
4) What is the timing for classes?
Timing around 6 to 8 pm for students having to go to school. Two classes per week. Days to be decided.
JEE NEET repeaters working out numerical problems can come in the afternoon between 2 and 5 pm.
Most parents told me 12th cbse classes starting this week or next week in different schools. So i am planning to start by March 15. Saturday 6 to 8 pm and Sunday afternoon 3 to 5 pm.
5) Sir, Do you take other subjects such as Maths and Chemistry?
No. If you are looking for a place to study different subjects together, then you can try checking with ARK Academy in R.S. Puram, Ph:9952921639, 9597054327
6) Sir, do you teach for 8th 9th 10th classes?
No. Due to time constraints I am not accepting any classes other than 11th and 12th.
7) Sir, do you teach online class?
No. Online classes students find it very difficult to grasp the concepts in physics. So no online classes.
8) Sir, how much do you charge for the classes?
I am accepting Rs.3000 per month. Two classes per week. Approx. 2 hours per class.
9) Can I take trial classes and decide?
Yes. You can take two to three trial classes and decide whether you are comfortable with the classes.
10) How do you teach? Theory Numerical etc.?
I expect the students to be learning well in school and I can only help students wherever they need help. Teaching the entire chapter is not possible for me due to throat pain issues. I try to help students mainly in numerical solving and little bit of theory help wherever they have doubts.
11) Can I prepare for NEET JEE CUET?
Entrance exam preparation is not a separate entity. It is just a continuation of your CBSE board exam preparation, with slightly higher difficulty level with numerical problem solving.
Only if you prepare well for CBSE board, you will be able to step up to the next level of NEET JEE preparations.
Step 1: Theory and Concepts, NCERT and Physics Handbooks
Step 2: Numerical problem solving from NCERT text book and one of the guides such as XAM Idea, Arihant Chapterwise past papers, MTG chapterwise past paper, All in One etc.
Step 3: NEET JEE chapterwise past paper solving using MTG, Arihant etc.
Most students and parents think about step 3 without working on step 1 & 2 and struggle a lot. If a student does well in step 1 and 2 then doing step 3 will be very easy.
12) Sir how to manage between school, tuition, entrance exam coaching, home work, tests, exams etc. ?
I agree it is extremely stressful for students and parents. Carefully choose your classes. If you are doing well with school teaching in a particular subject then you can avoid tuition for that subject.
Most students look for help in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Even if you go two classes per week tuition all six days will be filled up and you will not have time to study by yourself. Studying by yourself is the actual time you are studying. Sitting in school and tuitions you may not be really studying.
So my suggestion to students is go to tuition classes only for the subject you need extra help. If your school teacher is helping you well then you can study them yourself without tuition.
Every alternate week you will have school exams chapter tests etc. and you will be bunking the tuition classes very often causing trouble for teacher and yourself.
Students' irregularity and insincerity was also one of the reasons I stopped conducting classes last year.
13) For whom the classes here will be useful?
Only sincere, regular students will benefit from the physics classes from me. Students who are learning at least 50 to 70% in school and need some extra help, these classes will be useful. Students who have not learnt anything in school and expecting the tuition teacher to do spoon feeding, these classes will not work.
If you ask "Sir I read these pages, I have doubts in these topics" means I will help. If you ask "Sir, I do not know anything in this chapter, teach me" means I will not be able to take the entire chapter. FYI.
14) I am doing very well with all other subjects including Maths, but I find Physics very difficult?
Maths is direct problem solving subject. Physics is application oriented subject. For which we need to learn the theory, concepts and then apply them in numerical problem solving. This comes out of sincere practice.
15) Why should I learn Physics?
If you are a NEET aspirant then 25% marks come from Physics. Most students do well in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry and score well, but they lose in Physics because of the numerical problem solving. If you want to compete with the top scorers then you do not have a choice but to study physics in the right way to score well.
If you are a computer science student, then most probably you will be getting into Engineering or Science streams in college. Physics is the foundation for all your engineering and science courses.
16) What's the matter with 11th Physics?
11th Physics is very difficult because it is a huge jump from 10th physics. Also it requires some maths fundamentals from differentiation, integration, vector algebra which are introduced to you only in 12th maths volume 2.
By the time the student and parent realize that 11th physics is very difficult and the past glory from 10th standard of scoring 95% in maths and science is not going to help here, it would be some four months gone and volume 1 completed.
So most students will need help in 11th physics.
